We are particularly interested in candidates who are fluent in Croatian, Bosnian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (preferred)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Reliable vehicle and driver’s license

Bookkeeper/Accountant – (Flexible Hours)

Rainbow Aged Care is a leading provider of compassionate multicultural aged care services in Perth WA.  We are dedicated to creating a warm and supportive environment for our residents, and we value the contributions of every member of our team. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team on a flexible basis.

About the Role:

This role is perfect for someone seeking flexible hours and a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a vital community service. You will be responsible for a range of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring the smooth financial operation of our aged care programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software.
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Preparing financial reports.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
  • Responding to financial inquiries from staff and management.
  • Other related duties as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the aged care sector is desirable but not essential.
